According to the Huffington Post on Sunday, Trump made his comments during an appearance on Meet The Press. He said that if his numbers began dropping in the polls, "Why would I continue?"

Trump explained, "I believe in polls. How many elections do you see where the polls were wrong? Not that many."

The outspoken businessman is currently leading in a number of national polls with 25.6 percent and is way ahead of his other opponents, which include Ben Carson, Jeb Bush and Carly Fiorinia.

Meanwhile, Trump's Yugoslavian-born Melania Trump wife has opened up in her first interview since her husband announced that he is running for the White House, giving her opinion about immigration and foreign languages, among other issues.

According to People Magazine on Wednesday, the former model says that she went through a lengthy process before becoming a U.S. citizen and that she also supports her husband's plan to deport all illegal immigrants living in the country as well as making Mexico pay for a wall along the southern border.

She said, "I went through a whole long process [to become a citizen]. It didn't even cross my mind to just stay here. I think people should follow the law."

As far as Donald himself, he thinks his wife will make an "amazing" First Lady.

He said, "Melania would be an amazing representative for our country ... I could see her being very involved in women's health issues. She's an elegant person with a very big heart. She's very calm and confident, very warm and very beautiful."
