The lads of One Direction are enjoying some downtime for the holidays and Liam Payne is spending plenty of time with his Great Dane Watson!

Payne has a few dogs, but he seems to be pretty darn close to Watson.

Just a few weeks ago he shared an adorable snap of the Great Dane with his eyes looking so very big. "Love my puppy," the 1D member gushed.

Then he shared another snap getting kisses from Watson, which led to him calling the pup a "little monster."

Earlier this week it seems like their bonding only continued as Payne took Watson outside for a bit of physical fun: running around.

"My only friend today and the only one I need," Payne dished in the caption of the video of him playing with Watson.


Playtime continued as Payne was "passing with the puppy" with a soccer ball.

"No, don't eat it!" Payne shouted in the Instagram video as Watson stuffed the soccer ball in his mouth.

The Great Dane then did pass the ball back and forth with Payne.

You can never go wrong with bonding with a pet!
