On a Sunday Instagram post, Justin Bieber surprised fans with his reflective status about the DUI incident he's involved with in 2014. Apparently, the troubled pop superstar has been enlightened in some ways a few years of being controversial.

A social media post dated on April 23 made most fans smile as the "Sorry" hitmaker posted two photos of him, clearly comparing how he's become better as time goes by. On the left side, which was labeled with "Then," was his DUI mugshot in 2014 after he was arrested by police in Miami. Allegedly, Bieber has used his yellow Lamborghini for drag racing.

Meanwhile, the right side is a black and white current photo of him simply smiling. The photo was labeled "Now." However, what caught the most attention is the caption that goes with it.

"I LOVE THIS because it reminds me IM NOT EXACTLY WHERE I WANT TO BE BUT THANK GOD IM NOT WHERE I USED TO BE!!" The 23-year-old Grammy winner said in his caption. "THE BEST IS YET TO COME DO YOU BELIEVE IT?"

The "Baby" hitmaker, who was charged with DUI more than once, has been controversial because of his troublesome act. A few years ago, he admitted to drinking alcohol, driving with an expired license, resisting the officers, smoking marijuana, and taking Xanax.

Later on, the "One Time" singer opened up about his jail experience, saying that it was "freezing" and "uncomfortable." He also said that it is full of people that no one wants to be with. However, after his arrest, he was still involved in unlawful acts such as throwing eggs at his neighbor's home.

Nevertheless, Bieber has made a successful return in 2015 wherein he released a song entitled "What Do You Mean?" With his little but favorable changes, the singer has been appreciated slowly by his fans. As of now, he is recording his fifth album, as US News reported.
