A representative for Keri Russell confirmed to People magazine that she and Shane Deary are separated. The news come just days after Russell's home was burglarized.

"They have been separated since early summer. The separation is amicable and their focus is on their children."

The two have two children together, River who is six-years-old and Willia, who is just 23 months. They tied the knot on Valentine's Day of 2007.

Just early Wednesday morning, Russell was the victim of a break-in at her home in Brooklyn Heights. According to reports, a laptop, jewelry, earrings and a purse were taken.

The Associated Press reported that she woke up to footsteps and voices in her home around morning. She then discovered that her window and front door were open and some of her items had been taken. She reportedly called the police.

One of Russell's neighbors, who is 70-years-old, also woke up to a break-in and was able to call police with a description of the perp(s). Police arrested a father son duo shortly after and are considering them as the possible suspects. Fortunately, some of the items that were taken have been recovered.

Russell's rep confirmed the burglary to People magazine and said, "The break-in did happen. Everyone is fine, and Keri sends her thanks to the police."

Russell seemed to have a good experience reporting the issue and said the NYPD police who helped her recover her things were "awesome."
