Stephen Colbert has officially made his mark as the host of The Late Show Tuesday night and we have everything you need to know about what went down on his first episode.

Details Behind Stephen Colbert’s ‘The Late Show’ Debut

He’s definitely off to a good start after having notable and memorable guests like actor George Clooney and Republican Presidential candidate Jeb Bush.

Stephen Colbert’s Message For Former ‘Daily Show’ Host Jon Stewart

“I don’t think Barack Obama has bad motives. I just think he’s wrong on a lot of issues.”

“You can be friends with people that you don’t agree on with everything. We have to restore some stability.

Clooney’s appearance was a little awkward at first as he didn’t necessarily have anything he was promoting. But in true Colbert form, he found a way to laugh it off before Colbert said it was okay because they’re friends. Which of course led to an awkward silence. But the crowd loved it, so the duo made up a film for Clooney to plug. Apparently it’s called Decision Strike and Clooney plays Secretary of the United Nations. Clooney decided his character would be the hero in saving the entire world from “destruction.”

But it wasn’t all action, Clooney threw some romance in there, too. Still, that was even more hilarious than the action portion. They really set it off after they played a trailer from the made up movie.

Take a look.

He also did a special tribute to David Letterman.
