Rumors were flying that they were getting hot and heavy following their mutual divorces this summer, but the relationship between The Voice co-coaches Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton may be slightly different than originally thought.

Is Blake Shelton Going To Rehab?

According to Hollywood Life, the two are close and Shelton is helping Stefani through her split with Gavin Rossdale after 13 years by making her laugh as often as possible, which in turn cheers her up.

"Blake has been a great source of joy and laughter for Gwen during a difficult time in her life," a source told the website. "She can't believe how blessed she is to have been offered this job on The Voice where she gets to be around amazing people like him, Adam [Levine] and Pharrell [Williams]. She loves them all like brothers but it's Blake who really helps keep her mind off her split with Gavin. Despite his own marriage trouble, Blake is always smiling and keeping things light on set. Any time Gwen feels like crying, Blake is there cracking her up. He's helping through her break up with belly laughs!"

Other sources have also said that the friendship has been exactly what they've both needed during this hard time.

"Their friendship has blossomed through both their marital issues that they're dealing with," the additional source said. "They have confided in each other in a way they really can't with others because they both know how it feels being a celeb and going through stuff like this. They are a great support system for each other."

But those hoping for a romance to blossom on the show's set will be disappointed, because it's unlikely the two are going to fall head over heels for each other.

"Not a chance," the source said. "They are like brother and sister-it's all friendship and nothing sexual will come from it at all."
