Paramount Studios Tops 2011 Box Office with $1.96 Billion
Paramount Studios took the most money in 2011 at the domestic box office among the major six studios in the United States, according to Box Office Mojo.
Paramount Studios' gross totaled $1.96 billion last year, an increase of 14 percent from 2010 being "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" its most rewarded film with $352.4 million, box office Mojo, a figures tracker, informed.
Warner Bros. ranked No. 2 with $1.83 billion and saw its total gross fall 5.1 percent from 2010. The studio's big hit last year was "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2," with a record $381 million for the series.
Sony/Columbia ranked No. 3 with $1.27 billion, Disney No. 4 with $1.24 billion, Universal No. 5 with $1.04 billion and 20th Century Fox No.6 with $978 million.
