Is there going to be a fourth season for Mistresses on ABC?

Is Alyssa Milano Ever Going To Appear On A Future Episode Of 'Mistresses?'

The answer is yes! Announced from Deadline on Friday, the drama starring a group of women dealing with the struggles of life will indeed be renewed for more episodes. However though, Jennifer Esposito (who plays Calista) will not be coming back. This leaves speculation on what will happen to her character.

It's just good news that fans will find out what happens to Joss as her last moments were close to her death. With a gun pointed at her face, people will find out what happens from there. In a previous interview with TV Line, executive producer K.J. Steinberg opened up on how she and the others decided on using that ending even when they didn't know if a fourth season would happen.

Chatter On Absence Of Savi On 'Mistresses'

"We definitely talked about softening the ending, but that wouldn't have solved the dilemma," Steinberg said. "Even if she got to the 911 call, or if Harry decided not to get on that plane and follow her GPS, it would still be a level of unsatisfying. So we decided to just commit to our style of storytelling and cliffhangering and hope for a Season 4. If we had known it was our last season, I think we would have chosen a different way to close it out."

Mistresses Season 4 is expected to premiere in summer 2016 on ABC.
