Remini sat down with ABC's 20/20 recently to discuss her role in Scientology, which she ultimately quit in 2013. The former King of Queens star, who had been a member of the Church of Scientology from the age of 9, tells all in the new interview.

The interview will air on Friday, Oct. 30 but ABC has released a revealing sneak peek.

"The decision to leave is you are giving up everything you have ever worked for your whole life," Remini says in the preview. "I feel that people need to understand this has been my whole life, and I want them to understand how it happens."

The actress also spoke to the cultish mentality the church imposes on its members.

"As time goes on, you start to lose touch with the real world. The mindset becomes 'Us against them," she admitted.

Remini then addressed Cruise, who has been the most significant celebrity involved with the organization for many years.

"Being critical of Tom Cruise is being critical of Scientology itself. You are evil," Remini said.

The rest of the interview will air Friday, Oct. 30 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.

On Nov. 3, Remini will be releasing a memoir called Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology, in which she describes her 30-year involvement with the church.
