As everyone was left in shock over that unexpected death on Nashville, there's one character who will handle it the hardest.

Chatter On Maddie's Relationship With Juliette On 'Nashville'

Two weeks ago, Juliette was about to kill herself by jumping off a balcony. But Jeff found her there and pulled her away- only to stumble and plunge to his own surprising death.

In Wednesday's report from E! News, Aubrey Peeples (Layla Grant) gave the impression that her character will probably not deal with this well.

Will Deacon & Rayna 'End Up Happy' On 'Nashville?'

"It's just devastating," she said. "It's a big episode for me. She writes a song, so you'll see a lot of new music about it...her pouring her feelings into her music."

The actress added that Layla will blossom in the music world with more tunes coming her way.

"I'll have more music than ever," Peeples said. "It's really good. [Layla] drops a new album and starts working on another one." I think she's going to grow as a musician, and she depends on all these different relationships for such a long time, I think she's going to grow into her own a bit. There's going to be more romance for sure."

Peeples also noted that there probably won't be another death on the series for at least this season- Jeff's death (as well as Beverly's) was enough for now.

Nashville airs on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
