The Vampire Diaries did not disappoint Thursday night with yet another lavish party turned ugly.

Could Jodi Lyn O'Keefe Return To 'The Vampire Diaries' In Future Episodes?

Fans of the series bid Lily (Annie Wersching) adieu since she decided to take her life with Julian's (Todd Lasance), thinking they were still linked, instead of killing Damon (Ian Somerhalder) or Valerie (Elizabeth Blackmore).

Unfortunately for Lily, she was not aware that Mary Louise (Teressa Liane) unlinked her and Julain and sided with Julian in general. Craziness is tearing up Mystic Falls more than usual, since Mary Louise and Nora (Scarlett Byrne) are on opposing sides.

Lily is gone and more chaos is on its way--just in time for Christmas!

In the next episode, "Cold as Ice" airing Dec. 10, it looks like holiday cheer is in the air, but that will all drastically change--it is Mystic Falls after all, and doom is always nearby.

"Merry Christmas, brother," Damon tells Stefan (Paul Wesley) in the preview below.

The siblings are then seen out and about with Damon offering to buy Stefan some eggnog.

Stefan will at some point be on the phone with Caroline (Candice King), who is officially looking very pregnant.

"Wait till you see me," she tells him as she holds her belly, adding, "I popped this week."

Unfortunately the cheer will be lost as the Salvatore siblings stumble upon many dead Santas.

"You gotta be kidding me!" someone declares as the siblings look at all the dead guys dressed in Santa costumes.

According to showrunner Julie Plec, there are a total of 83 Santas. Talk about a merry time gone awry.

A gruesome fight will break out between the siblings and Julian at some point.

The Vampire Diaries airs on Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
