ABC’s Scandal star Kerry Washington and her husband, NFL player Nnamdi Asomugha, are the latest celebrity couple to face split rumors.

Kerry Washington Gushes About Her Husband

The two, who secretly tied the knot back in 2013, are said to be heading for divorce court sooner than later.

One insider claimed that the two are on the outs and that, “things have gotten so bad, Kerry and Nnamdi are barely talking. They are like two strangers living under the same roof.”

They added that Washington has already taken steps legally.

“She’s already met with her attorney to start preparing. [They] are pretty much separated.”

This is said to have been going on while the couple should have still been in their honeymoon phase. The problems allegedly began when Asomugha lost his slot on the San Francisco 49ers and has yet to sign with another team or find work elsewhere.

“Nnamdi resents her,” the insider continued. “He believes Kerry’s the one who’s given up on their marriage.”

They have a daughter,19-month-old Isabelle.

Rumors also swirled after the two put their home up for sale. Thankfully for them, it did sell in less than a week, but it also sparked speculation that there was trouble in paradise. Still, they have another home in California together. So it might not be safe to raise eyebrows just yet.

Meanwhile, the couple seem unbothered by the speculation and were even spotted together and all smiles at the Kennedy Center Honors over the weekend.
