On the heels of reports that Huawei Honor 7 smartphones are being readied for a U.S. launch, the manufacturer announced an enhanced variant of the phone. This new device is a swagged out gold version of the original flagship which launched in India in October 2015. As PhoneArena reports, the enhanced phone will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS fresh from the factory with a user interface courtesy of Huawei proprietary EMUI 4.0.

Offering more room for digital file safekeeping, the Honor 7 Enhanced Edition is bundled with a beefier storage capacity of 32GB. This size is double the 16GB amount of room found on the debut mode, and with microSD support, you can add up to 128GB more. Fast charging support via a 9V-2A charger is another a bonus feature if the Huawei Honor 7 Enhanced Edition.

The remaining specs match the primary flagship, the rundown is as follows: a 5.2-inch Full HD display, an octa-core Huawei Kirin 935 processor, 3GB RAM, a 20MP rear camera, an 8MP front-facing camera, a 3100 mAH battery, a 3.5mm audio jack, IR LED, 4G LTE/3G HSPA+, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 and Bluetooth 4.1 connectivity.

According to Android Authority, Huawei's Honor brand smartphones are coming to the U.S. retail market in the near future. An official announcement is expected to be made at CES 2016 next month. This from the lips of Huawei CEO himself, George Zhao, who hinted that the Honor 7 and Honor 6 Plus will make it over to the states during a party celebration for its sub-brand.
