Following reports that Nick Carter got arrested on Jan. 13 after a bar fight, new details emerged as to how the confrontation started.
Hollywood Life reports that the recent Dancing with the Stars finalist and a friend named Michael Papayans were refused drinks by the bartender because they were allegedly intoxicated. When they were told to leave, Carter reportedly hit the bouncer and Papayans head butted another employee.
In a video captured during the incident, the singer was heard explaining: "My name is Nick Carter from the Backstreet Boys. I'm a f**king singer," Carter told the police officer. He then said that he only wanted "a couple of drinks" and then yelled, "I wanted to sing! That's all I wanted to do. I wanted to go on the microphone and sing."
Photos of the singer and his friend laying down on the ground as police flash them with a light were recently uploaded.
This isn't the first time Carter was arrested. He was involved in an incident at a Tampa nightclub back in 2002. He and his wife, Lauren Kitt are expecting their first child together.
