The Critics Choice Awards featured several big moments, ranging from inspiring poignant, to funny, and in some cases, just plain our cringe-worthy.

Here's a list of those moments that made us laugh, cry, want to pinch some cheeks, and unfortunately, crings:

1. T.J. Miller's Opening Monologue

T.J. Miller's opening was unique, but it didn't seem to sit well with his celebrity audience. The actor and comedian came out on stage puppeteering his "four dancing critics," but the attempt at comedy was feeble at best and didn't really inspire too many genuine laughs throughout the room.

2. Jacob Tremblay Gives The Cutest Acceptance Speech Ever

The Young Actor award winner officially won over several hearts with his acceptance speech. The 9-year-old Room actor was not only adorable when he called winning the award the "best day of his life," but seriously stole the show when he said he had the perfect place for his new trophy-the same shelf he has his Millenium Falcon on.

3. Judd Apatow Brings Genuine Comedy To The Stage

Where Miller failed to inspire genuine laughs, the veteran director who has produced a string of comedies over the years managed to prove once again just how funny he is when he introduced Amy Schumer before she won the MVP Award. Among his best zingers? Making fun of the Golden Globes Comedy/The Martian/Matt Damon thing, Telling Dramas to f-k off, claiming that the award was made up solely to get Schumer there, and claiming she had a bigger year than J.J. Abrams.

4. Amy Schumer Reminds Everyone Of Her Stance On Gun Control

The actress, who is a cousin to Senator Charles Schumer, gave an excellent speech that was hilarious when she accepted her award for MVP. However, she still managed to end things on a serious note by thanking Mayci Breaux and Jillian Johnson, who died during a screening of her movie, Trainwreck, after John Russell Houser, who was mentally ill, opened fire in the theater they were in in Lafayette, Louisiana. She also took the time in her closing remarks to remind everyone they could work together to end gun violence.

5. Mayim Bialik's Genuine Shock At Winning Best Supporting Actress In A Comedy Series

Bialik was stunned when she won the award for her role as Amy Farrah Fowler on The Big Bang Theory, a role that has earned her four Emmy nominations, three SAG Award nominations and two other Critics Choice nominations-but zero wins. Because she got so used to losing, she wasn't prepared-something she repeated several times in her speech as a result. It was also a bit sad however, as she noted her father had passed away nine months before and never was given the chance to live to see her win an award.
