One of the stars of Switched at Birth gave some teases on what can be expected in the fifth season.

Regina To Bond With College Student On 'Switched At Birth?'

On Saturday, Just Jared posted details from Vanessa Marano who plays Bay on the series. When she was asked what viewers will see, she mentioned that while upcoming episodes will have new stuff, there will be a lot of old stuff as well.

"This entire season has a lot of returning storylines actually," Marano said. "We left a lot of loose ends open last season so now we're tying everything together. There's a lot of...it's very much like a new year because so much time has passed and the girls are at these new places in their lives."

'Switched At Birth' Episode Will Be 'Most Ambitious'

"You have to revisit stuff to just show how much time has passed," the actress added.

One storyline in particular is what's next for Toby and Lily now that they're parents. In a previous report from The Wrap, series creator Lizzy Weiss dished on how this will make some changes for the future.

"The baby has been a big part of the season that we've touched upon a bunch of times, and has been part of our larger series conversation about difference," Weiss said. "And it's just another strand for difference. It was just important that we end the first part of that journey. On the other hand, you're just beginning the journey. That is a really beautiful moment, and one of my favorites, not just in the episode, but in the series."

Switched at Birth Season 5 is expected to premiere this April on Freeform.
