Amber Portwood‘s fiance has reportedly enlisted the help of a lawyer as he prepares to embark on a child support battle with the mothers of his "at least eight kids."

'Teen Mom OG' Amber Portwood Defends Matthew Baier's Past

According to Indiana’s Madison Circuit Court records, which were obtained by Radar Online at the end of last week, Matthew Baier hired family law attorney Vanessa Lopez Aguilera to represent him in four of his five upcoming cases.

"Five women from states including Massachusetts, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Minnesota have filed suit in Indiana, where Baier, 44, lives with his reality star bride-to-be Portwood, 25," the outlet revealed. "The women are seeking an undisclosed amount of money for their collective seven children, all allegedly fathered by Baier."

In addition, claimed Radar, Baier owes a sixth mother, Kelly Maguire Nunn, more than $10,000 in back support for their 8-year-old daughter.

Baier's first court hearing is scheduled for March 22.

Despite the allegations against Baier, Portwood has stood by her man in recent months, most recently defending his past with a statement to MTV News.

"There have been many stories and allegations surrounding Matt's past," Portwood said. "Just as my own journey has proven, people make mistakes and should be given a second chance without being judged solely on those choices. We are happy and focused on building our future together."
