Is Christina Aguilera a lesbian?

Although The Voice coach is currently engaged to be married to producer Matt Rutler, a new report claims she may also be interested in women, including one of the contestants of the currently airing 10th season of The Voice.

"Aguilera kissed another female contestant on the lips and the grapevine started churning the gossips of the 'My Kind of Christmas'' famed singer Aguilera being a lesbian," Kpop Starz reported last month, claiming it was Kata Hay who struck Aguilera's interest.

According to the report, Aguilera began facing rumors regarding her possible lesbianism in 2010 when she split from Jordan Bratman, the father of her oldest child, son Max. At the time, it was claimed that the couple had an open marriage, which allowed Aguilera to sleep with women. Also at that time, Aguilera was linked to DJ Samantha Ronson, who infamously dated Lindsay Lohan on and off for years.

"The rumors of Aguilera being a lesbian surfaced again when lesbian contestant Kata Hay kissed coach Christina Aguilera. So are they dating? Even though she has children, it is possible that the singer wants the best of both the worlds and wants to keep her options open," Kpop Starz continued.

For the last few years, Aguilera has been involved in a relationship with Rutler, and in February 2014, they became engaged. However, at this point, over two years after their engagement, the couple has not yet wed and has no plans to do so as of earlier this year.

"We discuss it when we’re snuggling in bed," Aguilera told Women's Health magazine in February, "but it’s a casual conversation."

Also during the interview, Aguilera opened up about the long list of responsibilities women are dealt.

"Mothers are constantly expected to be the nurturers, the givers, the providers of a comfortable home. We’re expected to be pregnant, have the kids, breastfeed once we have the babies. And we’re expected to look amazing after baby, right? Keep our husbands and boyfriends interested — because we’re supposed to get back to sexy and keep things exciting in the bedroom. There’s such a long list," she said.
