Hailey Baldwin got a new tattoo earlier this week.

While out in New York City with fellow model Mari McKinney, Baldwin visited West 4 Tattoo where she and McKinney got matching tattoos, which read, "gente." On Instagram, the women's tattoo artist shared a photo of their new ink.

Ironically, the man behind Baldwin's tattoo also gave her on-again, off-again boyfriend, Justin Bieber, a tattoo earlier this month on his face.

“I think it was already kind of brewing in his head. I think when he saw mine and just how subtle it is, I think he saw that and thought ‘Oh, that’s pretty cool, I could rock something like that.’ It doesn't look gawdy on him,” Jon Boy told The Hollywood Reporter of a small cross below Bieber's eye. “We were sitting there and chatting about why we wanted it near the eye, and it's really to see people through the cross — to see people with our eyes through the cross with our grace and with our love."

Weeks ago, Baldwin spoke of the ups and downs of dating someone in the public eye.

"I don't want attention out of dating somebody. Texts started coming through, crazy phone calls...it's hard to date somebody in this industry," Baldwin explained to Marie Claire, via E! News. "You have to have really thick skin and be very strong. You have to focus on the person and nothing else."

Although Baldwin didn't mention Bieber by name, she continued on, claiming she's dealt with a lot.

"I'm the type of person where I let things slide. I push it to the side. And then finally explode every so often, but by myself," she told the magazine. "I've been in situations with friends [when] someone will have said something that really hurt my feelings, so I sit there choking tears back."
