Model Kate Moss and actress Sharon Stone shared an intimate kiss, but it was all for a good cause.

Yahoo reported on Wednesday that the two women attended amfAR's Inspiration Gala in Sao Palo in Brazil on Friday. They were both at the event to help raise money for charity.  During the auction part of the evening, the item next up for bid was a bottle of Moët & Chandon champagne, autographed by Moss and Stone.

As bidding began, Moss randomly decided to spice things up and announced to the crowd that something was going to be added. Stone announced that the winning bid would also include a Kate Moss kiss.

Stone called Moss up on stage as an example. At that moment, the ladies locked lips.

Fortunately for the kiss, the celebrities were able to raise over $50,000 for AIDS research. This money contributed to a total of $2.3 million raised during the event.

When the winner came on stage to receive his prize, Moss disappeared to reapply her lipstick. When she returned, she made out with him for at least two minutes, according to sources. Witnesses said they were shocked to see how passionate Moss was.

This is not the first time Moss has kissed for a charity cause. The Huffington Post reported back in 2010 that Moss  kissed Hosh Ibrahim, winner of a Great Ormond Street charity auction for $7,500. Moss told the Times UK  at the time, that she and Ibrahim weren't able to meet up for in order for him to collect his prize, but they finally got the chance to see each other.

"I put loads of red lipstick on and I never wear red lipstick so he's going to be stained," Moss told the Times UK before the kiss.
