When it comes to Amal Clooney, it seems like no matter what she says or does (or even wears) these days, she just can't catch a break with her critics. This time around the Internet trolls are claiming that George Cloney's wife's skirt might have been a little "too short" and disrespectful during her recent trip to the Vatican with her Hollywood husband.

According to the popular gossip blog Celebitchy on Monday, George and Amal had the opportunity to meet Pope Francis himself during the "A Wall, A Bridge" seminar, which was organized by the Pontifical Foundation Scholars in the Vatican. George received a medal for the hard work he's put in for humanitarian issues and the arts.

Yet, many critics say that the black Atelier Versace dress that Amal wore was too short and that it should have at least covered her knees.

Some comments on the Celebitchy post included, "It's just a tad too high and I think it might just be pulled a little higher than it should be because of the way she's sitting in that one photo or how she is raising her hand in the other," along with, "The Vatican dress code requires your knees to be covered. Doesn't matter shorts or skirt. I say this as someone who had to wrap a scarf around my legs to get in, since my shorts ended right above the knee."

Yet one fan managed to defend Amal by writing, "She looks fine in her dress although the hat didn't suit her at all. It may have looked better if she had her hair pulled back or put up. She is another celeb who needs a good feed. Her legs are so bony and her knees are knobbly. I'm sure she is naturally slim but she sometimes looks skeletal."

So far Amal herself has not responded to any of the criticism.
