George Clooney loves to gush about his wife Amal Clooney in almost every opportunity that he gets, but could his relationship with his wife look different behind closed doors? That's what fans can't help but wonder as there's a new report that says the Hollywood actor and his British wife are barely on speaking terms these days.

In fact, there's even a new report that hints the couple might be dealing with some major issues in their marriage as they couldn't even muster up the energy to be seen with one another while in the South of France last week. Eyewitnesses say that they were very "icy" with one another and "hardly speaking" to each other as well.

According to Naughty Gossip on Wednesday, once source dished, "George seemed embarrassed and uncomfortable ..... Things looked horribly strained between them."

Even though George likes to paint a portrait of a "perfect marriage" between the two, the International Human Rights lawyer has said very little about her husband in public interviews. In fact, the only times she is photographed with him is during red carpet events and at Hollywood hotspots, with paparazzi-ready cameramen nearby.

George and Amal have been married since September of 2014, when they tied the knot in a lavish, star-studded ceremony in Venice, Italy. This is the first marriage for Amal and the second for George, who was previously married to actress Talia Balsam back in 1988.

So far, a rep for the Clooneys has not made any comments about the rumors.
