More details have emerged after the Richard Simmons sex change rumors.

On Wednesday, Hollywood Life reported that the fitness guru hasn't been teaching classes at his studio in Beverly Hills for a while. So this gave more implication if Simmons had really been living life as a woman after reports alleged he had transitioned into a female.

As it turns out though, the reason why Simmons hasn't been teaching doesn't have to do with any rumored operations. It's pretty much the standard fact that he's just busy like anyone else.

"[Richard's] not here this week, but his classes are still on," a source said. "We have great subs that have all been personally trained by Richard. He still teaches here all the time, he just has a busy schedule so he doesn't always teach the classes."

The site got some scoop from another source who mentioned that Simmons doesn't teach at his studio much at all anymore.

"He once had a one day a week class, but he hasn't done it in years," the insider said. "The studio says all the time that he is around, but he hasn't been around for years. They say it because they want you to take a class with the illusion that some day he will be back because they want to make money."

Simmons had to go the hospital earlier this week with speculation on what went wrong. As it turns out, it was just a lack of fluids and he's doing much better.

"Thank you to everyone who has reached out with love and concern after hearing I was in the hospital," he told Us Weekly. "I was dehydrated and needed some fluids and now I am feeling great!"
