Jules Wainstein may be leaving The Real Housewives of New York City after season eight -- and not by choice.

According to a new report, Wainstein, whose husband filed for divorce just last week, won't be seen during the series' possible ninth season.

“Bravo isn't asking Jules back," an insider told Us Weekly on Thursday.

Last week, after Michael Wainstein filed for divorce after eight years of marriage, Jules' rep claimed the pair was parting ways after he was caught cheating on the reality star with one of her friends. A short time later, Michael's attorney accused Wainstein of attacking her husband in 2012.

Although Wainstein's split has been quite dramatic, the Us Weekly source claimed she "isn't resonating with viewers," and because Ramona Singer's divorce is still a leading story line on the show, “producers don't want another divorced woman."

Following news of Wainstein's split, Singer spoke out.

“I know she’s heartbroken, and I think it’s really sad,” Singer told Us Weekly last Wednesday. “I mean, listen, let’s face it: Half the marriages [on Real Housewives] do end in divorce, and they end in divorce for a lot of assorted reasons... I think it’s a really sad thing that it becomes public. I mean, something like this, you want to keep private. You want to protect your children and it’s just hard enough to deal with without it being all over the media.”

While Wainstein certainly has a rocky road ahead of her, Singer knows she will pull through.

“I really believe that in life, one grows from the hardships, and this is definitely a major hardship, but I think she’ll grow from it and be stronger for it,” she said. “And I respect her a lot and I think she’s more resilient than she knows.”
