The Pokémon GO phenomenon has started sweeping over the world, and it shows no signs of stopping. As avid Pokémon fans dig deeper into the intricacies of the hyper-popular game, a number of interesting revelations have emerged. For one, a data miner has found that within the code of Pokémon GO lie references to several Legendary Pokemon, such as Mew, Zapdos and Articuno.

Other notable Pokémon found by the data miner include Mewtwo, arguably one of the most iconic pocket monsters in the franchise due to his role as the primary antagonist in Pokemon: The First Movie. Also, Ditto, a seemingly average Pokémon which gained massive popularity after fans found that it could breed with practically any other pocket monsters has also been spotted in the augmented reality game's code.

Apart from the references to the Legendary Pokémon, the data miner was also able to find references to special items such as Master Balls, Ultra Balls, Max Revives and Max Potions. X Attack and X Defense items were also spotted within the game's code.

With these revelations, it is quite safe to assume that Pokémon GO would be far more massive in the future. Right now, the world is already feeling the Pokemon fever, and that is just with the majority of the original 151 pocket monsters. With the addition of the first-generation Legendary Pokémon such as Mew and Zapdos, the game would surely be even more popular than it is today.

Of course, with a revelation as massive as this, fans have begun speculating just how these Legendary Pokémon would be integrated within the game. Some speculate that the special Pokémon might be located in an exclusive spot in every region, much like the way the special creatures were in the original Game Boy titles.

Others, on the other hand, believe that Niantic might hold special events for players to have the chance to capture the extremely rare Pokémon. Such a thing was already featured in the game's original trailer, where the climax featured a raid allowing players to capture Mewtwo.

Regardless of how Pokémon GO's developers would integrate the Legendary creatures in the existing game, however, one thing is sure. Pokémon GO would get even bigger than it already is today.
