Today marks the one year anniversary of the passing of Bobbi Kristina Brown. And the case of what really happened to her still seems to be unsolved.

Bobbi Kristina was found unconscious in the bathtub of the condo in Roswell, Ga. that she and her longtime boyfriend Nick Gordon shared with friends. There are still suspicions around what caused Bobbi Kristina’s death; especially since many of her close family and friends say that she refused to go in bathtubs after the passing of her mother, Whitney Houston. The late singer also passed away after being found unresponsive in a bathtub. Her incident took place on Feb. 11, 2012.

Interestingly enough, Bobbi Kristina’s journey was much different than Houston’s when it came to the time frame. While Houston passed away almost right away, Bobbi Kristina fought for her life for six months. Her incident was on Jan. 31, 2015 and while she was rushed to the hospital just after, she remained in a medically induced coma for about three months. When she showed no signs of improvement or consciousness, she was transferred to a rehab treatment center until late June. There she also did not make significant steps, so she was taken to an Atlanta hospice care facility where she died on July 26, 2015.

Since then, her family has insisted that Gordon was involved in her passing, while he has denied it. Her estate filed a $10 million lawsuit against him but it doesn’t seem like it has made much traction yet. As for the autopsy, she was said to have had substances like cocaine and heroin in her system. Her family has also denied that she abused drugs.

Authorities could still be investigating to find out what happened leading up to the incident.
