Notorious hacking group PoodleCorp has claimed its next pair of victims, at least according to the group. According to the team of hackers, they have initiated a massive DDoS attack on GTA and PlayStation Network servers earlier today, which would explain why numerous players have been unable to log in to their online GTA and PSN accounts recently.

Thus, players who have been trying to get into their GTA 5 accounts have been greeted by a very prominent error message. -- Please return to Grand Theft Auto V and try again later. Amid a flurry of complaints from disgruntled fans, Rockstar has confirmed that GTA 5 servers are completely down at the moment.

However, the popular game developer has assured its fans that it is doing everything it can to restore its servers immediately.

Just to rub salt in the wound, the hacking group posted a tweet claiming responsibility for the server problems in GTA 5.

Just like GTA V players, PSN users have also been complaining about difficulties logging in to their accounts. While the PlayStation Network has not issued an official statement on the matter, PoodleCorp has been quick to claim the kill, threatening that a bigger attack would be coming soon.

Unsurprisingly, PSN and GTA gamers have responded with much anger over the hacking of Rockstar and Sony's servers. Many have responded in social media, condemning the group for its very aggravating actions.

Others have even adopted a different approach, alleging that PoodleCorp was not behind the GTA and PSN problems at all. Despite the group's claims, however, verifying the validity of PoodleCorp's claims can prove very difficult.

PoodleCorp has been gaining popularity among hackers, with the group successfully hacking popular YouTube channel WatchMojo and Pokemon GO. Recently, the group has also alleged that it shut down the servers of one of Blizzard's most popular games, League of Legends.

With the group seemingly on a roll, it would probably be wise for gamers to brace for more aggravation.
