Clash of Clans has been around for a fairly long time. Since the game was released back in 2012 for iOS and 2013 for Android devices, the wildly addictive tower defense strategy game has attracted millions of dedicated players.

The popular game has recently reached its 4th-year anniversary, and developer Supercell has opted to give its players a special treat, in the form of 1-gem boosts for the entire week. Thus, at least for this week, players would be able to initiate boosts on their elixir pumps, gold mines and the like for only 1 gem each.

With the current offer from Supercell, players will all of the pumps and mines built would be able to give their structures boosts for only 17 gems, as opposed to the usual 170 that are required.

As much as the 1-gem boost is pretty great, however, there might even be better news to come. While it is no secret that the last Clash of Clans update underwhelmed (stronger Giants, really?), rumors are abounding that the next update would feature things that are more along the lines of what players want.

Among the rumors, most notable were those which speculated that Supercell is going to be focusing on bringing new contents for Town Halls 1 to 10, as opposed to the last update, where the new additions were focused only on Town Hall Level 11.

If Supercell does indeed focus its upcoming updates on Town Halls 1 to 10, the developer would be able to offer fresh, new content to the vast majority of its players. After all, while Clash of Clans enjoys a massive user base, a significant number of its players only have access to Town Halls 1 to 10.

Unsurprisingly, Supercell has not confirmed or denied the rumors surrounding its upcoming update to its most popular game to date. Nevertheless, the developer has been initiating a lot of surveys among its players and asking them about which updates are most wanted. Thus, if the updates to Town Halls 1 to 10 do come to fruition, gamers would only have themselves to thank.
