With season 5 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey scheduled to air in June, Melissa Gorga spoke about what fans can expect to see on the Bravo reality show and how this season is unlike any other.

The Bravo reality star spoke to Enstars at the OK! Magazine 'So Sexy' event in New York City on May 1, talking about her relationship with her co-stars and how tragedy on the Jersey shore has brought all the women closer together.

Gorga said viewers can expect "a lot of craziness" from season five, which will air on June 2.

"A lot of love, a lot of tears," she added. "There's a lot of hate, unfortunately. I think you should expect the unexpected because it really is a crazy season."

What sets a part season five from previous seasons are the arguments and how the women resolve their issues, Gorga said. For her, the arguments have "hit way below the belt a couple of times this season."

As anticipation grows for the drama likely to come to the small screen, Gorga said all the Housewives stars are doing well and are all in a good place in terms of their relationship with one another. She continued to bump heads with her sister-in-law, Teresa Guidice, in season four, but Gorga said they have worked past their differences.

"We're in a good spot. Thank G-d we're family and we're always gonna try to work it out at the end of the day," she said. "I always have her back, no matter what anybody thinks."

Season five will focus more than ever on the family dynamic between the women, with Gorga saying, "family is so powerful and they can influence you so much...they can make you or break you, and season 5 is really about that."

The entire state of New Jeresey was rocked by Hurricane Sandy in 2012 and though the disaster tore apart some families, it had a bonding affect for the housewives. The cast members came together to help each other recover from the disaster and Gorga explained how Sandy had somewhat of a positive effect on them.

"Sandy has broken our state and our family was so broken and I think sandy was something we had no control over," she said. "We can't control hurricanes but we can control our family and how we forgive and forget and move on. I think with devastation like that and watching what happened it opened our eyes a lot to try to move forward with our family."
