Justin Theroux has officially weighed in on the Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie divorce, mostly focusing on the impact it will have on the couple's children.

Celebrity gossip enthusiasts have been dying to hear Jennifer Aniston's real reaction to news of Brangelina's divorce, but for now, Aniston's husband Justin Theroux has given his thoughts.

"As a child of divorce, all I can say is that's terrible news for those children and that's all you can really say," Theroux told Business Insider Monday.

The actor, who is currently doing press for his new movie, The Girl on the Train, expressed his true feelings on the incessant coverage of Pitt and Jolie's divorce.

"It's boring to sort of comment on anything else," Theroux noted. "People are having a bad time. That's horrible." He added, "There's an endless appetite for trash, apparently - though everyone would say that they don't have that appetite. But I think a lot of people do because people buy it."

Theroux is hoping the coverage of the divorce will die down soon, so that the world can focus on other things.

"There are bigger things to b---- about," he said. "It's shocking how much bandwidth things can take up when there are far more important things going on in the world."

Theroux married Aniston in 2015.

Gossip tabloids have been going into overdrive since news of the Brangelina divorce broke last week. A PageSix report claimed that Jolie had a private investigator spy on Pitt, discovering that the actor was having an affair with his Allied co-star Marion Cotillard.

Cotillard has since responded to the rumors, saying on Instagram, "Firstly, many years ago, I met the man of my life, father of our son and of the baby we are expecting. He is my love, my best friend, the only one that I need. Secondly to those who have indicated that I am devastated, I am very well thank you. This crafted conversation isn't distressing. And to all the media and the haters who are quick to pass judgment, I sincerely wish you a swift recovery."
