Beyonce told Good Morning America on May 6 that she "would like more children," and that her daughter, 15-month-old Blue Ivy, "needs some company," sparking rumors that the singer might be expecting her second child with husband Jay-Z.

The Love on Top singer spoke to GMA co-anchor Amy Robach while in London during the European leg of her Mrs. Carter Show world tour. She said being a mother to Blue Ivy is her top priority.

"I am very protective. I just want to make sure that she can have a healthy, safe, normal life ... in the back of my mind, she's my priority," she said. "And life is completely different now. So I'm - I feel really, really just lucky that I can still do what I love, and now have a way bigger meaning. And that's to be her mother."

"I would like more children," she added. "I think my daughter needs some company. I definitely love being a big sister."

In an interview with SHAPE magazine recently, Beyonce said she is "absolutely trying" to expand her family and have more children.

"I'll probably start after this tour. We'll see if it happens," she said. "I just adore being a mother, hearing her say 'Mama' and call me when she needs something.

A source close to Beyonce's team reportedly told Media Takeout that the 31-year-old is already two months pregnant and that she will announce her pregnancy at the BET Awards in June.
