Chris Kelly reportedly filmed a drug-fueled video hours before his death at the age of 34 on May 1.

The footage was purportedly shot shortly before his death from a suspected drug overdose. In the video, Kelly appears to be under the influence while trying to rap.

"We don't stop, for nothing or nobody ... look around you it's full of dead bodies," he said.

Cpl. Kay Lester, a spokeswoman for the Fulton County police, said "it appears" that Kelly may have died from a "possible drug overdose."

According to an Atlanta police report, Donna Kelly Pratte said her son had been taking speedballs, which is coke and heroin mixed together, prior to her finding him unconscious. He had also complained to her about being nauseous. Pratte called for help when she found her son unresponsive, but CPR failed to revive him. Kelly was transported to Atlanta Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 5 p.m. on May 1.

Jermaine Dupri discovered Kelly at the age of 13 along with Chris Smith at an Atlanta Mall in 1990. In two years time Dupri turned the rapping duo into Kris Kross. Kelly took on the moniker of "Mack Daddy" but Dupri also felt he could've called Kelly a son.

"To the world, Chris Kelly was MacDaddy but to me he was the son I never had," Dupri said. "When I think about it I spent more time with Chris and Chris than damn near anybody in my whole life, so you can imagine how bad this hurts."

Dupri also said he would ensure that Kelly's legacy would live on.

"I will always love you Chris, and I will never let the world forget you," he added. "May god bless your soul."

Murray Brothers Funeral Home in Atlanta said that a public viewing for Kelly will be held on May 8 throughout the afternoon and evening. A funeral service has been scheduled for May 9 at Jackson Memorial Baptist Church. Dupri and other members of So So Def, the label which gave Kris Kross their start, are expected to attend the services.
