Nicki Minaj & Lil Wayne, 'High School' Billboard Music Awards 2013 Performance VIDEO
Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne took their collaboration to the stage at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards, performing their hit High School on Sunday night.
The duo, and good friends, performed the song that has become an Internet sensation recently, with its VEVO music video garnering over 22 million views on YouTube since its April release. Lil Wayne was not nominated on Sunday but Minaj, a judge on American Idol, was up for a number of awards: Top Female Artist, Top Radio Songs Artist, Top Streaming Artist, Top Rap Artist and Top Rap Album.
Swift, fun. and Maroon 5 lead the finalists at this year's event with 11 nominations each. Rihanna competed in 10 categories and Call Me Maybe singer Carly Rae Jepsen followed with nine nominations.
A number of music acts performed on Sunday, including Bruno Mars, Icona Pop, Chris Brown, Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber.
The 2013 Billboard Music Awards took place at the MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas and aired live Sunday on ABC. The night's host was 30 Rock alum Tracy Morgan. At the 2012 Billboard Awards, Minaj, 30, performed Right By My Side with Chris Brown.
