The dominance of Apple in the laptop computer market is now being seriously challenged. With Microsoft's 2-in-1 laptop-tablet structural concept taking off, things can definitely get interesting.

The delayed launching of the Surface Pro 5 is quite intriguing. Considering that its predecessor has come out in October 2014, a lot of people have anticipated that a new version will be revealed a year after.

Instead, the Surface Book i7 and the Surface Studio units have assumed the spotlight. Although Microsoft needed some time to re-package the Pro 5, speculations continue to arise that the new Surface item is positioned to go head-to-head against the iPad Pro 2.

While the Redmond-based software tech group has continually hounded its Cupertino-headquartered rival, it cannot be denied that a big part of the launching delay may be attributed to the integration of the Intel-made Kaby Lake processor and the Windows 10 OS.

The competition starts to heat up as Apple also enhanced the performance of the iPad Pro 2. Inside the new flagship is the powerful A10 chip. Alongside, the iOS 11 will be running the systems.

In response to the Pro 5's Surface Pen, the Apple Pencil has been installed. The iPad's tablet form will benefit greatly from the navigation procedures of the scribbling accessory.

The Pro 2 will also be featuring a couple of sophisticated components. Aside from the 3D Touch, a TrueTone display will also be exhibited.

According to analyst and popular tipster Ming Chi-Kuo, the next iPad will have three models. The 10.5-inch device has been manufactured for the education sector while the smallest brand, which is equipped with the A9 chipset, will be launched at an affordable rate.

On the other hand, the Surface Pro 5 will be spearheaded by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 635 processor. It is the intention of Microsoft to establish PC power inside the handy item through Intel core chips.

The Pro 5 will have a 16GB RAM with an expanded internal room of up to 256GB. Moreover, the hybrid product will be able to support the 2K and the 4k display resolutions.
