The highly awaited sequel to Bungie's critically acclaimed online only shooter video game, Destiny 2, is set to finally be released this year. Given that fact, fans of the franchise are now curious to know what they will be getting in terms of new content when the sequel finally arrives.

According to a report from Express.co.uk, gamers should be happy to know that Bungie does have lot of plans for the upcoming sequel in terms of how it will be including multiple storylines right after the main game is released. The report cites the company's job listing as a clear indication that Bungie apparently want to revamp the storytelling process for Destiny 2.

The company is apparently looking for several new employees that will be focusing on the narrative of the upcoming sequel. The job listing includes a new Head of Narrative Development, a Narrative Director, and a new Live Narrative Director. The jobs will basically entail the creation and implementation of different storytelling efforts that will apparently be rolled out throughout the calendar year.

The job description for the Live Narrative Director reveals that the hired person will be responsible for implementing small-scale story projects with different timelines. Based on the job descriptions, it would be safe to assume that Bungie may be planning to release several small story-based updates throughout the year, and perhaps all through the lifecycle of Destiny 2, as per Inquisitr.

Bungie has yet to officially announce the sequel's fixed release date, but given that they did mentioned that it would be released this year, it would probably just be a matter of time until they formally announce it.

Destiny 2 is unfortunately not going to be released to older consoles and will only be available on the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4. Talks of a possible PC version are also circulating, but Bungie has yet to confirm if it would indeed be coming to this platform.
