It is no secret that the Boston Celtics are still looking for another superstar to add to their roster. And with many tradeable assets at their disposal, reports are saying that the Celtics appears to be targeting to get Paul Millsap and willing to give the right offer to the Atlanta Hawks.

Since the end of the 2015-2016 NBA season, the Celtics is one the busiest team searching for high-caliber players to augment their rosters. And though they got one of the big fishes in the trade market last summer in Al Horford, the team feels that Horford is still not enough to make them a true contender for the NBA title this season.

Earlier reports also said that Celtics general manager Danny Ainge announced that they will enter into a deal if right assets are being offered and if they feel that it will make them "contenders". Now, recent reports are spreading that the Hawks are recently fielding trade offer for Millsap, Kyle Korver and Thabo Sefolosha signifying that they are available for trade.

According to ESPN, the Atlanta Hawks already started listening to trade pitches both for Millsap, Korver and Sefolosha according to NBA league sources. Korver and Sefolosha have expiring contract after this season while Millsap have a player option not to re-sign with the Hawks if he will not be offered a max contract by the team.

With the impending scenario of losing the three players, the Hawks are now exploring their option and see what's the best option for them. They also want to prevent the situation of losing Millsap without anything in return just like what happened to Horford who left them as a free agent and got nothing. With this in mind, a proposed deal was floated in the news for the Hawks consideration.

FOXSports reported that Celtics front office should attempt of reuniting Paul Millsap and Al Horford and increase their chances of beating powerhouse teams in the East like the Cleveland Cavaliers and Toronto Raptors and challenge teams in the West like the Golden State Warriors and San Antonio Spurs for the NBA title.

The Boston Celtics could offer Jaylen Brown and a first-round draft pick for Millsap and Korver but can add other assets to sweeten up the pot for the Atlanta Hawks as per stated in the report. The combination of Isaiah Thomas, Horford and Millsap will surely be a potent one and will give hard times to any team in the league.

Will the Boston Celtics be able to get Paul Millsap from the Atlanta Hawks?
