The expectations had jumped high when Nvidia bought itself the 2017 international CES keynote, everything announced by Nvidia were highly praised. Except that there is no GeForce GTX 1080 Ti announcement was made.

Everybody was fixed on their chair when NVIDIA CEO presented his keynote during the kickoff night of CES 2017 in Las Vegas. While they were patiently waiting for the announcement of high-end SKU GTX 1080 Ti, hopes died down when Jen-Hsun Huang failed to mention the most expected graphics card.

The GeForce GTX 1080 Ti positions itself between GTX 1080 and TITAN X PASCAL. It was rumored to bring 4K Ultra HD gaming to even more people.

However, instead of mentioning the GTX 1080 Ti, NVIDIA CEO had introduced new product line-up that will hit the store anytime soon. Products such as Google Home AI, AI Co-Pilot for Cars and Cloud Gaming Services are among the company's showcases in addition to empowering video games, reports Forbes.

Though, the question is why there were no GeForce GTX 1080 Ti announcements? Well, GTX 1080 is at price point of $599 and TITAN X PASCAL is for $1299. On comparing both, maybe Nvidia holds the point illogical to put efforts in building another card that costs more. Also Nvidia is already milking the maximum out of GeForce GTX 1080 and TITAN X PASCAL. So, no need of another card, according to Segment Next.

However at CES 2017, Nvidia announced GeForce Now, Nvidia Shield Pro and Nvidia Spot. In short, Nvidia steal the show, despite no GeForce GTX 1080 Ti announcements.

NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti is rumored to lies between the GTX 1080 and Titan X Pascal but since the company is already making big amount from the two popular cards, speculations are suggesting that NVIDIA don't need another card in the mean time.

Apart from of no GeForce GTX 1080 Ti announcement, Nvidia nailed CES 2017 presentation.
