The Denver Nuggets have a disappointing season last year and it seems that they are going in the same direction this year. Having lost 5 consecutive games, they are now holding 14-23 win-loss record and currently sitting at the 10th spot in the Western Conference division. Recent reports are suggesting that they should look to get DeMarcus Cousins from the Sacramento Kings in a blockbuster deal.

Cousins has been one of the most famous names being dragged to numerous trade deals the past few months. He's been very vocal about his disappointment with the situation of the Kings since last year. And even he is putting impressive number this season, his performance is still not enough to make the Kings a contender or even a playoff team.

Now, one report is recommending that if the Kings are decided to move Boogie, the Nuggets could be the best trade partner for them. According to FOX Sports, if there is one team that have the assets to make a reasonable trade offer to the Sacramento Kings, it's the Denver Nuggets. And since the Nuggets are desperate to revive their campaign this season, they might enter a trade with the Kings.

The Nuggets have multiple trade proposal to the Kings to offer but this package could entice them. Trade scenario is suggesting that the Kings will send DeMarcus Cousins to the Nuggets in exchange for Nikola Jokic, Kenneth Faried, and Will Barton. The Kings could also ask for future draft picks as the Nuggets have it too.

Since Cousins has an unpredictable attitude that sometimes brings him to conflict to Kings top officials, trading him right now could be a reasonable option for them and get rid the "big elephant" in the team. Having Jokic, Faried and Barton is good a return for them and undoubtedly are solid players that replace Cousins in the rotation.

On the other hand, the Nuggets got one of the dominating centers in the league today. Playing him alongside Emmanuel Mudiay, Wilson Chandler, Danilo Gallinari, and Jusuf Nurkic could be a competitive starting five for them. The alleged deal will work under NBA trade and salary cap rules making it a legal deal for both teams as per checking with ESPN NBA Trade Machine.

Nevertheless, the rumored deal between the Denver Nuggets and Sacramento Kings is still speculation as none of the teams involved have confirmed the trade. But still, DeMarcus Cousins is a high-value asset that will be a potential target for many teams.
