GTA 6 release date has been widely anticipated and speculated by gamers worldwide since last year.

This is not surprising anymore because of the great success of the video game's predecessors. The Grand Theft Auto franchise or simply GTA of Rockstar Games has really become one of the much-loved and powerful games in recent times.

However, fans have been left hanging last year during Sony's event, which started and ended without a mere mention of a GTA 6 release date. This lead fans and gamers to believe that Rockstar Games may already have cancelled GTA 6.

According to Tech Radar, contrary to speculations, Rockstar Games is indeed already working on GTA 6.

To answer the clamor of fans, the video game company even already considered finally changing the location of the game. Tokyo, Japan has been considered but the idea has also been shelved, as of now. Rockstar Games has realized that it is quite difficult to move out of the comforts of the United States, where all previous GTA games are based.

Choosing the location is very important in GTA. Primarily because missions and the main story line will be based on the map of the location.

Amidst this issue, the good news is that the company is indeed already planning something, which makes GTA 6 release date nearer than fans may think.

However, GTA 6 release date may not be happening this year, according to Trusted Reviews. This is because Rockstar Games already announced the launch of Red Dead Redemption 2 in the Fall of 2017. The company is also more focused on the development of GTA Online, which is also very successful in its own right.

Also, following the four to five years pattern for the previous releases of GTA games, GTA 6 release date may be coming in 2018 (at the earliest).
