EgyptAir 804 crash in May 2016 claimed the lives of 66 passengers and crew. The Airbus A320 was on its way to Cairo from Paris on an overnight flight. Was the unfortunate crash caused by an exploding iPhone inside the cockpit?

Exploding iPhone or other smartphones has been the subject of controversy since last year. This is because of the extremely high number of exploding Galaxy Note 7 cases. The incident forces the Airlines to ban the Galaxy Note 7 in all of their flights. This unfortunate incident also greatly affected the sales and profit of Samsung as a company.

Now that new theories suggest that an exploding iPhone caused the EgyptAir 804 crash, what can possibly be the next move of Airline authorities?

Previous developments already point out that a fire occurred before the plane crashed. The fire particularly started in the cockpit zone of the EgyptAir 804 crash. Investigators are now checking if indeed an exploding iPhone placed on the glare-shield above the instrumental panel play a key role in the fire.

As reported by The Telegraph, CCTV footages show that the co-pilot placed his personal belongings including an iPhone and iPad on the glare-shield.

However, experts say there are some inconsistencies with this theory. Firstly, it is not possible to take-off with the belongings placed on the dashboard staying in place. As these things will just wind up on the floor.

Another theory regarding the EgyptAir 804 crash is a terrorist attack. According to Yahoo News, explosives residues have been found on the bodies of the victims of the crash. However, no specified information have been presented to arrive at this conclusion.

From the looks of it, it will still be a long time before the case of EgyptAir 804 crash will be solved. Whether the crash was really caused by a terrorist attack or an exploding iPhone, still remains to be seen.
