Looking for Android 7.0 Nougat update for Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact, Xperia Z5 Premium, Xperia Z4 (Tablet), Xperia Z3+ and Xperia Z3+ (Dual)?

Last year, Sony has intended the early roll-out of the Nougat to its devices to make-up for the year-long delay of Marshmallow. However, the Japanese tech company has only been able to fulfill its Android 7.0 Nougat update for Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact, Xperia Z5 Premium, Xperia Z4 (Tablet), Xperia Z3+ and Xperia Z3+ (Dual) early this year.

And just when Sony users have just started to download the update, some encountered problems along the way. The problems encountered persisted, which prompted Sony to stop the update.

According to Phone Arena, Sony has already stopped the Nougat update from being uploaded from their servers. The company has also already given their official statement regarding the Android 7.0 Nougat update for Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact, Xperia Z5 Premium, Xperia Z4 (Tablet), Xperia Z3+ and Xperia Z3+ (Dual).

"We were made aware of reports from some users experiencing inconsistencies related to audio playback via third-party apps and SD card encrypted data read performance, after upgrading to Android 7.0, Nougat. We've identified the root cause and are aiming to provide corrective firmware and re-commence the rollout as soon as possible," notes Sony in their official statement.

Now, Sony users can only hope that the Japanese tech company will be able to solve these problems in updating to Nougat. After all, the company has had many months already studying and making their own tweaks in the latest Android OS.

Also, as discussed in their statement, Sony has already identified the root cause of the problem and are currently implementing corrective actions in the firmware. With this, Android 7.0 Nougat update for Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact, Xperia Z5 Premium, Xperia Z4 (Tablet), Xperia Z3+ and Xperia Z3+ (Dual) will likely to resume soon.
