Nicole Kidman might now join the DC Cinematic Universe again with "Aquaman." There are surfacing news that the wife of Keith Urban is now in discussion to be part of the film as the mother of the telepathic ruler of Atlantis and the Earth's oceans.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Nicole Kidman is now in an early talk to play as Aquaman's mother Atlanna. The hero's mom was summoned from royalty in the underwater kingdom of Altantis has escaped her realm and fell in love with a human lighthouse keeper. The birth of his son will then bridge the gap between the worlds in "Aquaman."

"Aquaman" director, James Wan, has been eyeing Nicole Kidman to be the mother of Jason Momoa's role for a long time now. Hence, they officially made an offer to the 49-year-old A-lister actress. If the deal will be sealed, this will be the second time she will be working for a DC film as she has been Bruce Wayne's (Val Kilmer) love interest in the 1995 film "Batman Forever" as Dr. Chase Meridian.

Moreover, aside from Nicole Kidman, "The Get Down" star Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is also in talks to be the one of the villains of "Aquaman" as the Black Manta. In fact, James Wan has been in a lot of meetings with a number of actors for the said role for the past two weeks before choosing the "Baywatch" star.

If the deal will be made, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II will be seen in his one of a kind battle costume and trident with his deadly plots in "Aquaman," Yahoo Movies reported. Meanwhile, Warner Bros and DC Entertainment production will start the film's production in April in Australia, thus they are now beginning to round out their major characters. The film is set to be released on Oct. 5, 2018.
