Chris Evans and Jenny Slate have split after just under a year together.

Evans and Slate are done, a source is claiming in a new Us Weekly report.

"It was completely amicable and a mutual decision due to conflicting schedules and they remain very close friends," the source noted.

Slate, who appeared for one season on Saturday Night Live and went on to star in such movies as Obvious Child, The Secret Life of Pets and Zootopia, gushed over dating Evans in the past.

"I haven't really had a large premiere before, so it's nice to have someone who knows how it goes," she told Entertainment Tonight at the premiere of The Secret Life of Pets. "It's kind of like I got my dream 7th grade boyfriend. We didn't know each other growing up, but we grew up about a half hour away from each other. We've been friends for a while."

Slate also spoke about Evans on the Anna Faris Is Unqualified podcast, revealing how they had instant chemistry.

"I didn't know what to expect when I met Chris," she said. "I was a little scared because I kind of felt like, well, I don't know him. He's a giant man with huge muscles and he's Captain America. How could we ever connect? [But the] first night that we hung out, I was like, Wow, I could hang out with Chris for, like, 90 hours."

Evans is frequently busy with the Marvel Cinematic Universe where he plays Captain America / Steve Rogers. He has played Cap in five movies thus far: 2011's Captain America: The First Avenger, 2012's The Avengers, 2014's Captain America: The Winter Soldier, 2015's Avengers: Age of Ultron and 2016's Captain America: Civil War. He has also had uncredited cameo appearances in Thor: The Dark World and Ant-Man, and will go on to star in Avengers: Infinity War.
