Taylor Swift News: Fragrance Launch of Third Perfume, Out in June
Taylor Swift revealed her third perfume to follow in the footsteps of her top-selling fragrances Wonderstruck and Wonderstruck Enchanted.
The 23-year-old seven-time Grammy winner unveiled Taylor by Taylor Swift, which will hit shelves in late June in Ulta stores and Ulta.com. The fragrance is described as a reflection of Swift's personal style, according to E! News. It has notes of fruits like lychee and tangerine and florals including peonies, hydrangeas and vanilla orchids. It also blends a base of sandalwood, apricot nectar and wood.
The glass bottle is accented with crystal gems, pearls and bright patterns.
Swift called her new perfume, "a mix of a lot of things: It's sweet, it's sophisticated, it draws you in. It's really my way of translating classic, yet modern, into a perfume."
The I Knew You Were Trouble singer said each of her fragrances reflect a time in her life and this one is a little more grown up. Her first two fragrances "were more about fairytales, but this fragrance is more about my own style, so I wanted the name to be more personal."
The bottle also reflect Swift's "retro with a modern flair" style. The ring of pearls is a nod to her favorite jewelry.
"Pearls are the one fashion accessory that never seems to go out of style," the singer said. "I keep a strand in my purse, and throw them on whenever I need to dress up my outfit."
"I hope that wearing this fragrance makes fans feel that any look can be classic and chic," she added.
Swift is currently on her U.S. stadium tour promoting her latest album, Red. She is traveling with English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran. Swift took home eight wins at the Billboard Music Awards on May 19, most notably the coveted Top Artist award. She also took to the stage at the Billboard Awards with a performance of her latest single, 22.
