Most, if not all, origin are songs were either interesting or weird, and knowing how Ed Sheeran's hit may fall in between amusing and odd. Recently, the 26-year-old singer admits that everyone's national anthem, "Shape Of You." was initially created for the four-membered girl, Little Mix.

"Actually you know what? I got reminded the other day, we started it for Little Mix originally," Ed Sheeran confessed while talking about his hit song "Shape Of You." "And then halfway through I was like actually, this could be good for Rihanna...and then more of the way through, we were like this is actually pretty good - we should keep it!" (via MTV)

Ed Sheeran's latest confession is indeed, something to talk about, and people may start wondering whether "Shape Of You" is worth singing if it's sung by other artists such as Rihanna or Little Mix. With it, the "Thinking Out Loud" singer also admitted that he wants to "sunk his teeth into it and put acoustic guitars on it."

Basically, Ed Sheeran admitted that the song was too different, that he planned to not put it on his album. However, with "Shape Of You" playing in almost every household, it's no surprise how it garnered a jaw-dropping fifty-three million times of being streamed on its first week alone.

Meanwhile, Metro cited how long the other two writers, who Ed Sheeran has written with the song "Shape Of You," to convince him to have it as a single instead. The "I See Fire" singer also admitted the needs to tweak up some words to make it sound androgynous, rather than anything else. Instead of "my bed sheets" from the "Shape Of You" lyrics, it was originally written as "my T-shirt smells of you."
