As of now, "Sherlock" Season 5 is still unconfirmed but then actors Benedict Cumberbatch along with Martin Freeman already expressed their thoughts of returning to the series. The avid viewers are also eager for another season, in fact; they have shown their interest through Twitter by using #Bring221Back.

According to The Independent, Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman had conveyed their interest for "Sherlock" Season 5. In an interview Cumberbatch stated that they love doing the show and that he can say is about it is that they are all very busy. He further added that the next season of the series is not going to happen at the same orderliness that it has been happening hinting that the release of the much-awaited show will be different from before.

Freeman, on the other hand; has been the most pessimistic about the "Sherlock" Season 5. Though the actor wanted to make a comeback into the series, he said that he truly don't have any idea how long "Sherlock" will go on. He further added that the avid fans just have to enjoy them the show.

Moreover, Celebeat has learned that a Twitter account under username @Bring221Back was made earlier last month. The patrons who wanted the "Sherlock" Season 5 to premiere had urged to show their request for the next season through social media and they have added the hashtag #Bring221Back. The said idea was to make the hashtag trending making it catch the attention of the producers and with any luck; to get Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman to reappear on their respective roles in the "Sherlock" Season 5.

As of now, the release date of "Sherlock" Season 5 is not yet known; but then there have been speculations that the much-anticipated show will return on small screens in 2018. Hopefully, the #Bring221Back caught the attention of the producers as well as Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman; so that the show will debut soon.
