Emma Watson asserted at the Wednesday premiere of The Bling Ring that she will not be playing in the upcoming Fifty Shades of Grey film.

A reporter asked the Harry Potter actress about her involvement in the film, with rumors flying about who will be cast in the new erotic adaptation of E.L. James' novel. Watson was linked to the female starring role of Anastasia Steele.

“I don’t know what to even say anymore. No, I have no association with this movie whatsoever,” she said Wednesday, according to a BBC News report.

Watson has previously denied any involvement in the Fifty Shades of Grey film, although media reports continued to circulate rumors that she might play the Steele character. She said in March, "Who here actually thinks I would do Fifty Shades of Grey as a movie? Like really. For real. In real life."

Universal Pictures won the rights to the Fifty Shades trilogy and fans are talking about who will be cast in the films, especially as Steele and lead male Christian Grey.

In The Bling Ring, the actress plays a teenager obsessed with fame and joins a group of fellow peers to break into the houses of celebrities, stealing thousands of dollars worth of items. The film premiered at this year's Cannes Film Festival and is due to be released in the U.K. on June 14.
