Gwen Stefani's boyfriend, Blake Shelton, has been playing a major role in her son's lives ever since their relationship began in late 2015.

According to a new report, the country singer is completely dedicated to acting as a father figure to Stefani's three kids with her ex-husband, Gavin Rossdale, and even if they split, he will reportedly remain in the lives of Kingston, 11, Zuma, 8, and Apollo, 3.

“She was not going to allow them to get hurt at any cost so it took her time to completely trust Blake,” a source revealed to Hollywood Life on July 18. “She truly feels like she will be with Blake for the rest of her life till death do they part. But what gives her even more peace is that Blake has vowed to her that he will always be a father figure to the boys no matter what happens to them.”

Stefani and Shelton struck up a relationship while filming The Voice season nine in late 2015 and have been spending quality time as a family ever since.

“He told her that even if she decides to get up, dump him and break his heart, he will always be there for the boys,” the source continued. “He loves them just like he loves Gwen.”

According to the report, Stefani's former husband is active in their kids' lives but just as they spend time with the Bush singer, they are known to chronicle their special moments with Shelton online.

Most recently, Stefani and Shelton embarked on a fun family trip where they were seen fishing with all three boys and enjoying backstage passes at one of Shelton's shows.
