Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have reportedly relaunched their efforts to start a family together after allegedly experiencing heartbreak months ago following an unsuccessful IVF treatment.

According to a new report, Stefani took a pregnancy test this past summer that revealed she was reportedly expecting her fourth child. However, despite her excitement, she and Shelton later learned that she wasn't actually expecting.

While learning she wasn’t pregnant wasn’t easy for the 41-year-old singer, she's reportedly doing her best to make light of the situation and is now trying to conceive yet again.

“Gwen found the silver living in the siutation because after all this time, she really got pregnant. She had been afraid she wouldn’t be able to,” a source told In Touch Weekly magazine on September 27. “Getting pregnant was a sign that she needed to keep pursuing IVF treatments. She knows it will happen again.”

“They are very, very excited for the future,” the source added.

Stefani and Shelton began dating in November 2015 and have been facing rumors of pregnancies ever since. Some reports have even suggested that Stefani is pregnant with kids.

Earlier this month, a Hollywood Life report said that now is the perfect time for Stefani and Shelton to start a family.

“It would be a perfect time for Gwen to have Blake be the father of her next child, because her kids currently accept Blake as family,” a source close to the couple told the outlet. “Gwen wanted it to be fluent and normal with the kids and Blake before she was going to even try to get pregnant and she now feels that Blake is family and her kids love him. So it would be the perfect time if they got pregnant.”
