Katie Couric's recent wording made even the Man of Steel blush.

The daytime Katie talk show host was in the midst of interviewing Henry Cavill and Amy Adams about their roles in the upcoming Man of Steel when an awkward question elicited titters from the audience.

Cavill plays the latest iteration of the cape donning Kryptonian and posses the dashing looks required by the part. Couric expressed concern over whether or not Cavill worried that Hollywood may seek him out more for is outward appearance than for his actual skills.

""But do you worry at all, Henry, about [your looks] getting in the way of your acting and for people ... in terms of people taking you seriously for your craft, instead of your ... packaging?" Couric questioned.

After a momentary pause Couric became aware of the possible double meaning of her statement and quickly moved to clarify.

"I said packaging! I said packaging, please," Couric said, appealing to audience members who seemed a bit over amused.

Cavill smiled but explained that his portrayal is partially out of his control.

"It's all down to the filmmaker, really," Cavill said. "How he or she shoots me and how, you know, I interact with the castmates. You can look any way you want, but your director will make you look however he wants you to look."

Cavill can be seen in Man of Steel starting June 14.
